(Sorry if you guys know a bunch of this, I've done this post so I can put it up in the Echelon Forum too. To try and drum up support! LOL)

Right then.

I have a problem.

Nooooooo...... not that one, another problem.

A few years back, when I first started playing City of Heroes I made a challenge to myself. I would not level an Epic Archetype, till I had 1 level 50 in each of the other AT's.
And so after I got my Defender, Blaster, Scrapper, Tanker and Controller to level 50 I made my PB and WS (who just to make my challenge even more bizarre I'm levelling simultaneously!)

Then we got City of Villains and again I made the same internal pact. I now have my Brute, Stalker and Corruptor and my Dominator is on the way. However I'm struggling profusely with the MasterMind.

Can't gel with them. I've tried loads and never get far. Except for one.

he's level 34 and the closest I see me getting a MasterMind to 50!

You may have noticed me playing lately on occasions as 'Major Maroon'.

Major Maroon was a part of a concept Villain Group going way way way back. Originally set up as part of a Plastic Army/Femmes/BoTI initiative they were a military themed SG based around Masterminds. there was a Military dress code (only for slot one! the rest are yours to do with as you will. I've gone for different military looks in mine, Snowy has gone for a more Superhero look!) and then you had to take the Mercenaries pool and whichever secondary took your fancy. (we did later expand a little to Robots too!)

The characters name was the Rank (Major's had Mercs, Captains had Robots) and then a colour (which would be the colour of your beret with your uniform.

The aim was to have 8 teams of these Military themed MasterMinds running around missions with shedloads of 'soldiers'. We looked like an army. It was great fun and there were loads of us.

The 'Mercenaries of Illumati' were born.

They were an underground army that dabbled in magic and technology to bring about a new world order.

However this caught us at a time when we were trying all sort of different concept groups (The 10th Kingdom was Fairytale characters, and the Vegetable Patch was toons based around fruit and veg!) and then many of the Plastic Army went forth to WoW and didn't come back.

They were also a group set up on Union, and to be honest we were a Defiant based lot.

The MoI fell into disuse.

They weren't forgotten though.

Lately Snowy (Major Crimson) and I have been playing our MoI toons and I've been having masses of fun, running around and shouting quotes from Starship Troopers and Aliens at my screen! ("You apes wanna live forever? It's game over man! GAME OVER!!)

I know Tankini still plays his Captain Scarlet from time to time. And I've even seen Special K dusting the cobwebs off Captain Midori.

And they are featuring in the books I've been writing on the Femmes forum.

However 4 of us still playing out of a once fun and exciting experimental SG isn't great. It was so much more fun when there were masses of us. Eight man teams with 7 or 8 pets each. Huge 56 man MoI armies surging through missions, laying down covering fire and ripping through mobs with reckless abandon.

I want to bring those days back.

Now here's the kicker.

The MoI as it stands is on Union. I really really really want a MasterMind to complete my set on Defiant.

So I intend to start a new Chapter of the MoI over on Defiant.
(which dovetails neatly with my book as the MoI are happily dimensional travellers anyhow and in the story they hop quite regularly from the Union Dimension to the Defiant Dimension. The servers are treated like parallel universes in my story's.)

I still intend to play Major Maroon as he stands on Union, cause I have fun with Snowy and I want him to get to 50.

but I want an MoI toon on Defiant too.

I don't think I'm going to create an 'MoI night!' more likely it'll be a more casual toon I dip in and out of, maybe at some point concentrating on to get me to 50. But I'd like to throw it open to see if any of you guys would like to join in.

Also if I could establish a little SG of my very own it would give me a chance to dabble in the Base Creator which I've not really done.

I'm probably going to create my toon tonight (Tues!) and then play him from time to time. I've freed up a slot on Defiant specially for him. (dos vedanya Crimson Storm!)

So really the purpose of this thread is to throw open a little recruitment drive. Anyone who'd like to join in and join me is most welcome. (Consider this a recruitment drive for the Union Chapter of the MoI too!)

If you fancy joining me then I'll pop up a proper post somewhere detailing exactly the Uniform for that first slot and the conventions etc. (There used to be one on the forums here, but I think it got purged as part of the new forum structure eons ago cause I couldn't find it!)

This is great to hear an MoI on the Defiant and on the Union.
Now u turned me over i'm gonna make a toon to for this nice SG.
Do i need some rules to follow, i mean dress code?
My followers do they have to be mercenairies or robots?
I know i do have to made a Mastermind with Magig or Technoligy powers.
Please let me know and i will let u know on wich server i gonna pop up!
